Surrey DPAC Bursary and Scholarships

Scholarships and Bursaries help you pay for your post-secondary education by giving you money that does not need to be paid back. They can be offered through governments, schools or private organizations.

Surrey DPAC is pleased to be able to offer an opportunity for three students attending a secondary school in Surrey. You may apply for both the Scholarships and the Bursary if you meet the application criteria, however if you are selected, only one will be awarded.

Apply for a Surrey DPAC Scholarship and/or Bursary

Applying for scholarships and bursary can be an intimidating process, and will require some planning. You may need to brainstorm, recall, and gather facts and details about yourself and your plans to help you with applying for various scholarships and/or bursaries. Here are three steps to get started:

  1. Identify your post-secondary plans
To develop an effective application, it is a good idea to have a strong idea of the program or courses you would like to study, or a career choice. You may need to explain your vision during the application process.
  2. List your achievements and participation
Share in your application a list of your accomplishments, such as any school/community clubs, teams, or groups you have been involved in, technical courses you have taken, and/or any academic achievements. Also consider your volunteer work with a community agency or company and/or local non-profit group or organization.
  3. List and describe your awards
You may be asked to describe the criteria or requirements for awards you have received. List awards, medals and/or recognitions you may have received that are related to your academics, athletics, arts, sciences, technical or languages studies, and/or other activities.
