DPAC Board Nomination Form
The following form is to be used for nominations for both the AGM and for putting your name forward to fill in a vacant position.
For elections at Annual General Meetings (AGM)
One of the main items of business at the Surrey DPAC Annual General Meeting (AGM) is to elect the Surrey DPAC Board of Directors for the next school year. The AGM is held every year on the fourth(4th) Wednesday in May.
This is done by first electing all directors to a maximum of thirteen (13) directors. After everyone has been voted in, out of the elected directors, those that put their name forward for an Executive position are then elected.
If you are interested in putting your name forward to help strengthen PACs and empower parents, please review the following information.
Nominations will be required by midnight on the second (2nd) Wednesday in May. Information on prospective Directors will be made available on the DPAC website and Facebook page by the following Monday. Late nominations will be accepted but might not be distributed due to volunteer capacity.
For vacant positions:
Please fill out the form and submit a minimum of 2 weeks before the next General Meeting along with a letter or email from your school PAC confirming your eligibility. If submitting this form for a vacant position, please only select from the positions available here.

Expectations:
- Directors will be able to participate electronically via WhatsApp chat/emails AND in person.
- There will be a minimum of two meetings per month that Directors are expected to attend. General meetings are held on the fourth (4th) Wednesday of every months (except December and March), and Surrey DPAC Board meetings are currently held on the first(1st) Monday of every month.
- Directors should be able to participate in online discussions regularly between meetings (Whatsapp chat/email).
- Directors must read and agree to both the Code of Conduct and Responsibility and Legal Liability documents.
- No employee of Surrey School District 36 can hold office as a Director.
- Upon election, Directors will need to read and become familiar with DPAC’s Constitution and Bylaws (C&B).
To put your name forward for a Director position, please fill in the form below.
Your school PAC Executive will also need to confirm your eligibility by emailing surreydpac@gmail.com. A simple email from your executive confirming that you are a parent or guardian of a student attending a Surrey school could simply state “We verify that _______ is a parent/guardian of a student attending _______ school.”
